Description

Ecotet is a broad spectrum antimicrobial soluble powder effective against bacterial infections, respiratory infections, gastroenteritis and other conditions sensitive to Tetracycline. For group treatment of poultry in the drinking water, individual treatment of calves, kids and lambs in the period prior to the commencement of ruminal function. May also be used in piglets, rabbits and foals.

Specially formulated for maximum performance in hard water areas where calcium levels reduce oxytetracycline activity.

Directions for Use

Do not open sachets until required for use

The medicated solution obtained after dilution of the product in water must be used immediately and continuously until finished. Replace medicated water solutions daily until end of treatment period.

Dose rate

Poultry (chickens, geese and turkeys):

May be added to drinking water or wet feed.

Dissolve 1 sachet of 6g into 20l of water.

Withdraw all other water sources and green feed.

Continue treatment for 5 days

If no response is obtained after 3 days reassess diagnosis and treatment.

Calves, lambs, piglet, kids, rabbits and foals:

Dissolve 1 sachet of 6g into 100ml of water.

Dose at the rate of 1.5ml/kg.

Continue treatment for 5 days.

If no response is obtained after 3 days reassess diagnosis and treatment.
Precautions

Not recommended for use in ruminant animals after the age of 6 weeks.

Do not slaughter animals for human consumption within 7 days of last dosing.

Do not use eggs for human consumption within 4 days of last treatment.

Keep out of reach of CHILDREN, UNINFORMED PERSONS and ANIMALS.

Store in a cool dry place.
